Stop Losing User Insights
Research is useless if insights don’t get shared.
Jul 7, 2025

Teams run user interviews, surveys, and usability tests every month. They collect a lot of feedback. They gather notes. They fill documents and Figma pages.
And then… everything disappears.
The real UX problem isn’t research. It’s memory.
Most teams don’t have a research problem, they have a knowledge problem.
Insights are stored in too many places
Nobody knows what already exists
Teams repeat the same research
Valuable learnings are lost when people leave
Product decisions rely on opinions instead of evidence
If insights are not accessible, they die — and so does product learning.
The cost of the lost insight
When research findings are not shared or reused:
Teams repeat work instead of moving forward
Time is wasted chasing information
Users repeat the same frustrations for months
Roadmaps drift away from real user needs
Decisions lose credibility because they’re not backed by evidence
Bad decisions don’t happen because teams don’t care.
They happen because teams don’t remember what they already learned.
More research won’t fix this
Many companies try to solve this by doing more research.
More interviews. More surveys. More reports.
But doing more doesn’t create clarity.
What teams really need is a way to organize what they already know.
Build a system, not a folder
Useful research is structured. The simplest system to avoid lost insights looks like this:
Collect → Keep all research inputs in one place
Tag → Organize findings by topic, user, or product area
Connect → Link evidence to product decisions
Share → Make insights visible to the team
This doesn’t need to be complex but it needs to be intentional.
Tools can help (but process comes first)
Centralizing insights can be done with any tool: Notion, Confluence, FigJam, Airtable.
But if you want a platform built for UX research specifically, tools like Condens or Dovetail make it much easier to turn raw feedback into usable insights.
Final takeaway
You don’t need more research.
You need better access to what you already know.
Research isn’t about storage it’s about impact.
If insights don’t drive decisions, they’re just notes.
